We have recently moved to Crete full time and taken out a cosmote pay as you go mobile sim for my I phone 6 , I want to be able to top up /check the balance on my mobile by using a laptop but every time I go into my Cosmote I get an "error occurred in connection" message.
If I try using my mobile using the cosmote app it come up in greek with no apparent way of translating to English !

There must be some brits with Cosmote pay as you go phones who have overcome this problem ?

I have tried going into the cosmote shop ( Rethymno ) and they are very helpful and put credit on my phone but I want to be able to do this myself.
        Any help please ?

You should be able to go to any kiosk and most supermarkets to buy a top-up ticket. Phone the Cosmote top-up number and type in the number code on the ticket.

"Ten Euro for Cosmote, please" should get you the ticket, although asking in Greek would be more polite.

If only it was that simple ! lol
For some reason my data has stopped working on 3G but I still have credit, and also I have a couple of sims that are in other devices that have no phone attached so I cannot use 1314 or a top up card to top up using the phone, but I could use the web site and log in with the different sims number to top up if I could get in !, one is a tracking unit that uses GPS for its tracking but uses SMS for notifying me if the unit has been or is moving and I can send a sms as a kill switch to immobilise the vehicle it is in (boat).
And the other is a security PIR detector that SMS to me if activated, its a bit of a pain to remove the sims on these devices put them in my phone to check/update the balance.
