The Sunniest Prefecture is Attracting the Buyers Again

Is the economy starting to pick up? A ‘Property in Crete 2015’ survey for the first half of the year highlighted that of all the locations on Crete, Lassithi has an improvement in home property prices. This does not detract from some 5,000 unsold #holiday-homes in the past three years across the island. But there are opportunities at the new lower level of home prices for some renovated old village houses and new builds. There is a need for many Greeks to cash in on their housing investments. The report by Danos-Melakis, international consultants and real estate appraisers said that Greek interest was “frozen”. Foreigners were the ones buying. Rents are stable compared to 2014.
