Now, I know he has a squeaky voice that doesn’t match his demeanor and he’s married to an Essex girl , (I was trying to think of her maiden name until I gave in and looked it up, it’s Adams before you start scratching your heads) but you have got to hand it to him, it’s like he has his own empire and he is completely bullet proof. I have never seen him have a lack lustre performance, ever, complete professional, and just signing another lucrative deal for doing something he loves. I would put him up for the next James Bond (voice dubbing could be a bit tricky), but I wouldn’t put him up as the best English footballer in history. That was Paul "Gazza" Gascoigne.

Steve Bruce and Shearer and you? no way. My father always said Duncan Edwards but what does he know. Never seen an Englishman get a stadium buzzing like Gazza, and boy could he play. Complete entertainer. Ian Rush was Welsh, and you (I think are a Man U fan, which means you are from London). ;)

Your right about Rush I forgot..As for me being a Londoner I’m not, I’m a Manc like the bigbluecheese, that’s why I had to slip Colin Bell into my list, I like to keep my blue belly friend happy.

Most underrated player ever, IMO was Paul Madeley for Leeds, big strong, calm on the ball, true professional and could play in any position.

Great player Bell, I lived round the corner from Carlo Sartori, he was a couple of years younger than me, not a great player but still played for Man U. Not forgetting Stan Bowles, another good player City had. I bet ARRY wishes he had players like him back at QPR.
