Not sure if this petition has been shown on this site but if you haven’t had the chance to sign it and you are affected, it is worth doing.  The full debate was shown live on parliamentlive.tv – it is long but very interesting to those like myself who will be affected by the change in pension laws.  Family members can sign the petition too, not just the person whose pension is affected.  This topic is hot at the moment and could mean that something will be done to reverse the injustice that has befallen people of a certain age TWICE!

PS – Forgot to mention that Women Against State Pension Inequality Campaign (WASPI) has a Facebook page for anybody wanting to keep up to date on this important subject.

I received the following answer from my MP about continuity of UK State Pension upgrades and reciprocal health care provisions.

I hope you expats have got your voting papers sorted and ready for keeping us Brits in the EU to help protect and ensure our financial security.

If you need to register for UK voting go to the British Embassy, Athens website.

Have any of you obtained dual UK/Greek nationality, if so what benefits does it give you?

Whether we are in or out of the EU people will still receive their UK Pensions, even if the health agreement and other rules change.

I think this post is about a different subject Ian maybe a separate thread would have been more appropriate.

Thank you Fowles, BREXIT has now been posted separately.
Yes we will continue to receive our pensions unchanged if UK stays in the EU.
However, out of the EU and we will not enjoy the benefits of annually upgraded pensions nor will reciprocated health benefits apply unless things are re- negotiated totally between UK and EU or individual nations..

UK Pensions wiil remain static and unchanged as they do for Expats living in Canada, S.Africa.

So make sure you get your vote in!

Just to update anybody the WASPI campaign may interest i.e. women born in the 1950’s – the petition is still going and has now reached over 169,000 signatures.
