Who remembers Yannis and Sorrento?
That is the question I was asked out of the blue. I had to find out.
When did it disappear? Was it when Yannis the original owner moved to Corfu around the economic 2008 crisis period, or was it when the AgNik city fathers wanted to clean up the image of Aghios Nikolaos as a bawdy night club holiday destination.
I recommend you visit the Sorrento Bar’s blog . I suggest you visit the home page too. Judge for yourself the frustrations of being an owner of such a typical establishment in Agios Nikolaos, Crete, Greece in the past. And now? There is more nostagia on Facebook. Enjoy the ride through a little bit of local night life history in Crete.
