Did Graham say when Sky was going to shrink its footprint?
I was at the talk and I don’t recall any mention of Sky programmes being affected – although it’s always a possibility that some will move to the narrow-beam of Astra-2F at some point.
What IS likely is that unencrypted programmes currently broadcasting from Astra-1N will move to the narrow beam of 2F in November. In addition, the BBC announced that its "red button stream" channels will be reduced in number and will move to Astra-1N on October 18th. (This is a rather weird announcement, since 1N is scheduled to be swapped with 2F on, or after, November 1st.) Either way, there’s a strong possibility that the streams will disappear for Cretan residents.
With the ongoing situation in Ukraine and the huge increase in Russian comment spam & false site registrations currently running at 250-500 every day. All of which have to be manually removed, we have taken the decision to suspend site registration for the current time.
Please accept our apolgies for this and we aim to re-open registration as soon as possible.
