        12/12/12 – Once in a 100 years

So here we are. It is the day the Mayan civilization said was the day all life ended! Or something like that.

Hope you are well and in good spirits.
… Not planning any last grandiose gestures?

Now, what would you do if you knew today was your last day?

For me, depending on when it was all going to happen I’d like to see the sun set. Being at peace. Simple and uncomplicated.

        Gerald

Luckily I have relatives in Australia,
I have told them to ring me after midnight so that if I don’t hear from them, I still have 9 hours to eat, drink and be merry.  ;D

Don’t worry, the world is not going to end on the 21st, unless Athens decides to withdraw from the Euro Zone.

As far as the Mayan calendar, one of several (the oldest discovered earlier this year), is concerned, scholars has always pointed out that they represent a ‘cycle of time’ e.g.,

The calendar was last reset in August 3114 B.C and the world did not end then – thus each cycle lasts 1,872,000 days and then is reset again. it is important to note that the all the calendars make no reference to the end of the world, but highlight a new age and good times (putting it simply).

But just to be sure i am cancelling my haircut on the 22nd.

I would make sure I go out early after the end of the world and check to see if I’m in the Daily Telegraph obituaries page. :-? If I’m not then it didn’t happen. That would be a relief !!!
And Gerald, do take a photo of your sunset and post it in ‘crete sunsets’ would you.  ;D

Many say the world as we knew it has already ended and we are on the slippery slope to fiscal rectitude.
