Aegean Airlines is reported to be adding a new Travel Agent fee from January, 2021
CAPA – Centre for Aviation is reporting that Aegean Airlines (A3) is planning to add a US$6.00 distribution channel fee per passenger, per sector on tickets booked by travel agencies.
If ‘per sector’ means for example a ticket that routes Heraklion(HER)-Athens(ATH)-London(LHR) with 2 different flight numbers the cost would be US$12 (2x$6). A return flight would indicate a total of US$24. Would that be a correct assumption?
#AegeanAirlines Group is Greece’s de facto national carrier. Its domestic flights are operated under Olympic Air (OA), also part of the group.
#CAPA, based in Sydney Australia describes itself as a trusted and comprehensive source of market intelligence for the aviation and travel industry. In simple terms this means B2B commercial aviation information, analysis and data. It so happens that CAPA celebrates its 30th anniversary this month (September 2020) .
Has anyone else heard anything about this possible A3 development? And can add a comment?
