The shop is now open although they are waiting for another huge delivery. It is located just off of the main Stalis beach road. If you are on the main road (not beach road) find Filia apartments which is about 200 mts from the traffic lights (going towards Hersonissos) at the Mohos turning. I park outside Filia and near an old concrete closed shop. In between these is a very small road. You can drive down there although it is narrow. At the bottom of there on the right is the shop.
Or…………. if you get on the beach road the shop is near the little church / Eri apartments and is just up the side street by a chemist and the Irish pub which I think is Dwers???
Hi, the shop is near barcode just off main beach road in upper stalis. its virtually next to slante irish bar. I have visited it several times and they have a very good selection of products at very good prices. I am pleased to find a new shop which is affordable without having to travel to AG nic all the time..
The lane that accesses the "shop" is very narrow and only good for one car so if another comes in the opposite direction, watch out. I also would only approach the shop from the beach side road — better still park somewhere close by and walk. It really is just a couple of metres up from the Slante Irish Bar.
It looks to me like it is one of those shells of a shop being used temporarily – no signage just a huge Union Flag on the back wall. If they received a huge order (MCD referred to it) perhaps it had not arrived as of few days ago. The place looked a bit bare from the car, as I passed.
Opening hours I would suggest depend on the lady who runs it and her partner. It all looks very informal to me.
I hope it will be permanent if the prices are good.
As there was car behind me I could not stop in the lane, so I will pop in next time.
I wish them well.
PS – There is parking spot for one/two cars in front of the place – but it is not worth taking pot luck. A car already took up the space when I arrived.
I was in Stalis at the start of the tourist season checking out the three Irish pubs (for purely informational purposes, of course). They are in the general vicinity to where I had seen the "British Shop". To my surprise the shop that was, was empty however with a handwritten sign "see you in Malia".
Well, I have now located it. It is in Malia on the main road linking Malia, Stalis and Hersonissos in the same row of shops that has the ‘sex shop’ and Giakoumakis Estate agents that generally face Malia’s ELTA Post Office. It is not exactly obvious.
