        Hi,

Looking to sort my car tax 2012. What do I have to do? Where do I go? When? What documents do I need?

I live in Almyrida. Any help would be very much appreciated.

        Cheers,

        Ben

You should be sent a renewal form, this should go to the address given when you obtained your tax number, which in our case was the Lawyer we used to assist us.

Our accountant, George Atsalakis in Chania, does everything for us. We simply drop off the cash with his sister in Kalyves and then collect the car tax sticker from her when it’s delivered.

I think I used to visit tax office in Chania with all papers and pay it there and get the disc also. Was quite simple if I remember correctly. Tax office is not far from market and if OTE/COSMOTE is still there it was close to them.

                        Hi All
bought a secondhand car in July so not sure where my reminder would go. Have to go to uk middle Dec so went to tax office in Xania on Mon to try to pay.
I took my new log book (a flimsy bit of Computer printout), and my passport (just incase).  Went up to first floor, took a ticket from the machine for B and after waiting with many other people  for approx twenty minutes. was seen by lady on the main counter who entered the info from the  log book onto her computer and  then handed me a blue piece of paper. I then had to go across room to the TAMEIO to pay and then to the desk in the middle where another lady issued me with my sticker.
All in all a very stressfree 30 minutes. The office was normal level of buisness and i visited at oneish.
                        Hope this helps :)
