Is It a Good Move (Sept 2020) to Downgrade the UK's International Development Department that gives out Foreign Aid?
At the 2019 United Kingdom General Election, the country's foreign aid budget handled by the Department of International Development was considered far too generous and budgets mis-spent as viewed by many right wing voters. They compared the amounts going overseas at a time when there were pressing needs of the UK's citizens at home, who were being squeezed by austerity measures. China for instance received massive payments to 'to help subsidize' its own projects. That is the background to this question.
