I wear rigid gas permeable contact lenses and was having trouble in getting them here as most people here seem to prefer the soft lenses. I must have searched most of the opticians in Chania.
For those of you in a similar situation, the optician in Kalyves sells them. They also do the eye test, but not the one for glaucoma, which here has to be done by an optomatrist, apparently.
I’m told that they will be 192 euros, which is more expensive than Specsavers where I used to get them for £110. However, the eye test is included in the price.
Let’s face it, it’s still cheaper than a return ticked to the UK to get them there!

I just order mine from the internet from a supplier in the UK, around 23 pounds for each lens.
they also send me email reminders regularly with a one click re-ordering system.
all they need are your prescription measurements ,and they are delivered within a few days ,my daughter then posts them to me here ;)

I use an internet company called Daysoft Lenses. You can order online or on the telephone and they will post them to Greece – of course you need a prescription but the service is really efficient. I pay £12.49 for a month’s supply of daily lenses, which compared to prices in the UK and here are cheap to say the least. I don’t know if they would supply the type of contact lenses you require, but Google the site and I’m sure you’ll be able to find out. Good Luck!

Thanks for that to both of you.

However, I’ve always stayed clear of buying them on the internet  because if they’re not right you have a problem. I have experience of sending one lens back four times before the opticians got the fit right.

Latsida, if you’ll let me have the name of the company you use, I’ll have a look.
