Fix for your own needs the early Spring shortage of fresh green vegetables in #Crete’s shops and supermarkets

The milder winter Mediterranean climate enjoyed in most of the #Greek islands is perfect for growing vegetables for March-April harvesting. This is particularly true for Crete at lower levels. At higher levels there may be exposure to frost for short periods of inclement weather.

The Cretan Diet is known for its inclusion of the bean family (fasolakia) particularly broad beans. But any of the long bean varieties are appropriate. If you are in Greece, please check out your local agricultural supplies centre and check for their recommendations.

I tried it last year. Snails gobbled the whole lot!
