We are looking for someone who would be willing to go to Rhodes, tickets paid, to bring back a poor dog that has been abused and is on the streets with no where to go.
It would mean leaving here on the boat and returning immediately the same day. 12 hours both ways, could be just what someone needs to chill out and read…….
If there is anyone with 24 hours to spare to help this poor dog please ring 2841033848 or 2897029620

According to a message on facebook there is someone going to collect him and Sunday and he will be back on Crete Sunday night.13th August 2010 at 5:39 am #25234
Correct !!! I managed to find someone to help this poor dog. I did not post to say ‘it’s ok we have someone’ until all was finalized…………..just in case!!!
Can’t seem to find it on my facebook though? But, Facebook seems weird lately…………. when I open it I sometimes get a page of posts from ages ago which is getting frustrating as there is no ‘latest news’ most of the time, to press.13th August 2010 at 7:42 pm #25394
That is good news. Lets hope this story will have a happy ending. It would be nice if you could let us know what happens with this dog. It is nice to hear of a happy ending. I wish you good luck on Sunday.15th August 2010 at 5:13 pm #25526
As I type, the dog with the very kind guy who went all the way to Rhodes and literally got off the boat, took the dog and boarded again, is on his way back………….. should dock at Heraklion approx. 21.30 Sunday evening.
I will let you know more news once Bev has taken the dog back to her house this evening and also after the all important vet’s visit in the morning.
Thanks for your interest xx15th August 2010 at 9:01 pm #25630
Great news. Hope all goes well with the vets visit.18th August 2010 at 7:05 pm #25716
Sorry haven’t been in touch……….. work very busy. Dog is fine in himself. He is a happy little fella and is always wagging his tail and very well behaved.
He went to the vets and has had problems with ticks and is on medication. He is about 4 years old and now has a ‘collar’ on to stop him scratching his nose as that makes it bleed and it must heal. All to do with the tick infestation (which as far as I can ascertain was horrendous).
Apart from that he is being very well cared for in his foster home with Bev, who is an absolute God’s gift to the ‘stray animal society’………………
More will follow when there is more to tell !!! But at the moment he is going along OK. :)20th August 2010 at 6:47 am #25789
Sadly I have to inform you that the little fella died in his sleep very peacefully yesterday morning. No one really knows why, I guess he had problems that were not, as yet, identified by upcoming tests. The tests were going to make sure that he had no underlying problems………….. I guess he did.
Having said that, he was a cheerful little guy and at least had the last week or so of his life being loved in a great home where he had food and constant care and attention. RIP little fella xx :'(20th August 2010 at 7:31 am #25852TedblueMember since: 15th September 2009

How sad, the poor little thing.
I’d just like to say well done to all of you who did your best to help him.
Your efforts were not entirely in vain, as you say, at least he experienced love and care in his last days.20th August 2010 at 7:33 am #25906
I am so sorry to hear this. At least the little mans not suffering anymore and like you say he was given a week of the love he deserved. RIP. :'(
