        Gallic bureaucracy sometimes outdoes Greek!
From July 1st it’s a legal requirement to carry a disposable breathalyser in your car. The idea is that all drivers must self-test after having a drink to make sure they’re fit to drive. (Yeah, like that’s going to happen!)

The law, of course, applies to all drivers, not just French ones.

One slight hiccough. There are no disposable breathalysers available because the factory hasn’t been built yet. ::)

Plenty of NF approved breathalysers, including disposable ones, on offer at Amazon and Fleabay.

Its beyond me why anyone would want to take the expensive French toll road route anyway.

Route via Belgium motorway (no tolls), German motorway (no tolls), and Austria, much better and approx the same distance.

And if you go through France, don’t forget your Hi-Vis jackets, one for each person in the car.

Same rule here so we already have 5 green tabards in the car.
The policeman who stopped me last month was so surprised that he didn’t notice my missing 2012 tax sticker! (It was still in the glove compartment – oops.)
