Xalkiadakis in Sitia certainly has some gluten free products. There is also an "organic" shop in town which might have a bigger range.

In Ierapetra there is an organic & health food shop just opposite the big Xalkiadakis supermarket (ex mega market). It’s in between the fruit & veg shop and the butchters.

I once asked for something that they did’nt have and they were quite happy to order it in for me.

Thanks so much for replies. My son is coming in 3weeks time and his girlfriend is diabetic and also has to have gluten free. She has not been abroad before so is a little worried. Are the hospitals still operating an emergency service in Irepetra and Sitia…..just in case
