None that I know of but our vet Eleni in Chania is keen to use natural supplements on our elderly cats, she is superb so may be worth giving her a try. Tel for an appointment as she is too busy for drop ins:

Hi hopeful, thanks for the info and contact. Have you ever had a very sick pet taken to her? Or have you dealt with her during an emergency? Just curious! I always gauge that as the true test… I’ve been thru a lot of vets ;) But good to know she uses some homeopathy. I think that’s great! I am writing down her contact info now! Thank you!!
Yes we have used Eleni for urgent & life threatening treatments she was wonderful with the girls (two moggs) managed to save the eye of one & keep our old girl in renal failure going for another year or two!
She is quick, organised, surgical skills are great & her fees are humane!
Going into Chania can be a drag at times but we would travel anywhere for our Moggs, I would recommend Eleni to anyone.
No, but I would be grateful if you or anyone else can advise me of the true state of affairs regarding pets in Crete. I have several beautiful dogs and I am SO NERVOUS of bringing them over because I am so worried about the lack of vets! I have lived on a greek island before, so have some idea! However, that was 20 years ago, so have things improved? I would be so pleased if other dog owners could tell of their experiences. This is probably the only thing which stops me coming!!!
We use George Vizyrakis in Souda (28210 69966) who is very good. We have cats and he has been wonderful with them. I’ve seen many dogs in his surgery when we have been, so he seems to be good with them too! He explains everything very well and always has time for the people too. His fees are very reasonable. I can thoroughly recommend him.
