I have only posted a couple of times on this site, but read the forum daily. My husband and I both enjoy the regular banter and also appreciate a great deal of the information supplied by the regulars.
However, we both take exception to Gerald’s comments and response to RIC Inheritance Tax thread. We find his comments distasteful and, quite frankly, inappropriate. John has been through so much over the past 8 months and I don’t think he deserves to be spoken to in this manner. John has also been very constructive in sharing his legal findings with other BIC members, ourselves included.
If the "bully-boy" tactics employed by certain administrators mean that we will be banned by our expressing our views, then, so be it, and good luck with your very sad life, Gerald…
We all have tragedy in our lives. I am the first to be sympathetic and understanding to those who deserve it. Furthermore, I am no bully boy. It is only those members who go over the top and flaunt the rules that I pounce on.
I am fed up though with John’s antics that caught the gullible like you in his charming writing style while attacking this very website that gives him a platform to discuss his concerns.
I agree with you, the "banter" in recent weeks has been better than of late. I too have been pleasantly relieved at the lack of animosity, little ruffling of feathers, or digging up contentious issues. But RIC is back. Poor John, in his sharing his grief he cannot resist stirring it up gain.
Mazza – If you and your husband are so interested and visit daily, why don’t you contribute to the threads instead of absorbing everything and only posting "a couple of times"(in your own words). Instead all you can do is criticize me!
You see, by contributing (posting) more frequently you show appreciation and join in the effort that other members go to, to give the benefit of their knowledge. Far too many visitors to this site are just like you. Shame on all those that take all and give back little or nothing.
But that is life.
Hat’s off to all of you who do contribute on a regular basis. As always a big thank you.
