        Memorial Service, Souda Bay Commonwealth War Graves, Chania. – Poppy Day Service of Remembrance.

        This Non Profit Service will be held :

        Place : Souda Bay, Commonwealth War Graves, Chania, Crete, Greece.

        Date : 14th November 2010.

        Time : Service will start at 10:45 hrs AM, in time for 11 hour.

        There will be seating, last post & reveille played by Souda Bay Greek Navy Band member, Wreath March in with Bagpipes Player. Flags will be flying. The weather is unpredictable and umbrellas may best be carried just in case.
        Countires represented will be: British Units/Services, Cretan International Community, Cretan Veterans & Friends -Society, US Armed Forces, Australian Armed Forces, New Zealand Armed Forces, Canadian Armed Forces & South African Armed Forces.

        Poppies will be on sale at the Memorial Site and Local Shops in the Apokoronas/Vamos/Almyrida Area & Rethymno White Lady Taverna. If you own a business and would like to sell the poppies for The Royal British Legion please call:+30 694 745 9120

                Can anyone tell me if there are any public busses going there from Heraklion bus station please.

                I would like to supprise my husband who is elderly and very proud of his services to the UK. He mentioned to me a few years ago when we moved here that he would dearly love to visit a Souda bay memorial.
