                Yes -thank you.

I have finished those lessons and it was very good- although I wouldn’t like to say how much of it I have memorised

That’s why I would like to keep learning because otherwise you forget everything quite quickly.

You seem to do pretty well when you are over there, Fred :)

                        Hello

You might like to take a look at this website: http://www.greek-lessons-online.com/index2.html. Marialena offers lessons via Skype which I thought was a brilliant idea.

When I enquired before Xmas, Marialena was offering an hour a week at 20 euros which included work to be done on your own for completion in advance of the next lesson.

You can try out a 30-min free trial which I did and thought was good.  I didn’t take up the lessons then as I’m now attending classes locally but it might worth a look.

Sounds expensive to me at €20 per hour, especially as it is via Skype.

I think it’s about normal for private lessons – plus you’re getting work to do in between lessons.  Anyway, it’s just an option.

Just an update… here, in Crete, it’s possible to find lessons much cheaper – that is true – I’m paying 12 euros (cash only!) an hour for private lessons.  However, if FredandJulie are in the UK and don’t have ready access to a Greek teacher, then the Skype is worth considering – you get to hear Greek spoken, you can have a conversation, you can ask questions – just as you would face to face.
