I need to send £10K from my UK bank to my Bank of Cyprus account here. I have both sterling and euro accounts. Should I use a company like currencies direct to send the money over to my euro account, write a sterling cheque from my UK bank and deposit it in my sterling account or is there any other better ways of getting this money here?
So hard to be pedantic… the exchange rate varies for large sums and for small , and also it varies day by day .I believe the money has to come in to your account via a BIC and IBAN number, especially if you need to prove the income to your greek accountant and to the greek govt.I am pensioned from the U.K. so every month money comes into my Sterling account in the local bank , and guess what , a new small handling charge is debited every month on the money, oh and it takes maybe a week to arrive in the account , sounds like creative banking , but w.t.h. the country needs income………you mebbe needs to get some quotes …………….
