Are We Making the Most of Isolation/Restricted Activities During Covid?
Curiously, I came across an article on the Internet that gave me pause for thought going way back to when The Apostle Paul got stuck on #Crete after getting initially shipwrecked on an island we know today as Gavdos, just off Crete’s south coast.
It should be noted that Christ’s Apostle, Paul was not very kind in his comments of the Cretan inhabitants at that time. Paul knew the #Cretans from his earlier teachings and was alarmed on his return to see the spiritual state of the fledging Christian community that he started. He decided to give the key task to put the Cretans on an organised religious path to his beloved assistant, and fellow evangelist, called Titus. The problem Paul saw was that the #Cretans themselves lacked strong teachers to guide them in God’s name in their daily lives.
That is the background to the one page article I am referring to as “Grace Notes: Stuck in Crete”, written by a noted American inspirational author and speaker, Debora M Coty. In the article of faith Coty simply relates the events of the past to the present day and poses the question how, if getting stuck in Crete during Covid, arewe using the quiet time wisely as Paul did. (I am paraphrasing)?
Review Comment: Ms Coty’s effort to compare Apostle Paul’s biblical experience with the reality of today at the time of Covid-19 was published in the Osprey Observer publication of Valrico, Florida. The authoress wrote with grace and forethought. I hope if you read the article, you find it thought provoking, and a pause for thought in your life.
Thank you Debora Coty a successful author, selling million in sales of her book: “Too Blessed To Be Stressed”.
