Thank you yr posting is appreciated.
I am so happy that the PC culture has not pushed onto any backburner the Poppy Day tradition. It is so important for those of us who truly believe that our forefathers fought and died so that we may live our lives as free men and women today continues as ever. Even the leftist BBC quietly without fanfare has all its main presenters wearing the Poppy.
In fact, being the other end of the island, at the gardening club meeting yesterday our hostess with the mostest, Margaret had the poppies and the collection box readily at hand and many in attendance supported the cause. Every little counts.
If you are interested in gardening and would like to join the monthly meetings this is also covered on another page here in the Crete Forum.
