So, UK Government declares at long last we #British citizens living abroad do retain strong links with the United Kingdom.

Minister for the Constitution, Chris Skidmore has finally published the details of giving British expats, outside UK for more than 15 years the right to vote in UK but under the selective condition:

        – all expats who have been a UK resident or registered on the electoral roll the right to vote in the Westminster Parliamentary elections only.

        Exclusions:

        – No vote in local elections, polls for police or crime commissioners

        – No vote in the Scottish and Welsh Assemblies

        Possibility

        – Maybe vote in referendums, depending on Westminster government policy at the time

Here we go again, voters being pushed around by the politicians. All democratic voting by British passport holders should be permitted at all levels of all the country’s elected bodies.
