Have made contact now. Pam was very helpful. 8-)
Oooh Latsida…you are awful..but I like you !!!
The only reason for no reply in my case is that I was born in the 60’s . (Nearly 9 months after England won the football world cup in fact !! No wonder I am an only child !!)
Your topic is of great value .
Dear Fowles and Kefalas,
Thanks for your help. The lady I found did a good job and only charged 5 Euro’s. Yes Fowles it is frustrating when you have no replies..but ladies dress making not an exciting subject I guess !!
I found a lady in Chania near the ISIS clinic/hospital who did my alteration..Anna. Very good service. Shame no replies on this site.

There is a very good new English shop near Vamos where I live…if there is anything you need I could post to you .
They even got me in some Certo pectin for jam making !!
Glad you found the flour !
Yes, I grew some last year from Greek seed potatoes but wondered if "English" seed potatoes would thrive..!
I live the other side of Crete but bought "00" flour in a SPAR shop
..it is produced in a green bag and says "Pizza" 00.
Having looked at the bag I have they have an email perhaps you can ask where they sell near you .

Hope this helps ? Jane

Last year I put some parsnip seeds in (Drapanos) and totally forgot I had planted them as they take a long time to germinate…they were near tomato plants which received regular water. When I pulled up the old tomato plants I discovered what would have been several good sized (if not knobbly) parsnips !!! I have read it may be best to grow them in a large pot or even an old kitchen roll tube too !! Good luck. !! Jane 8-)
P.S The greengrocer opposite the laundry in Kalyves now sell swede etc..even fresh horseradish root !!!
I would like some chilli and tomato fertilizer…such as tomorite ?
I could get it sent to any U.K address ?
It is in liquid form.
